Yes, S & M has become more and more mainstream, in so many ways. Just look at the world of fashion, for instance.

Has Rihanna’s “S&M” hit the mainstream’s boundary?

I don’t think Rihanna’s “S&M” has hit the mainstream’s boundary.

What councerns me about this song & video is not what the regular adult viewing market will think of it, but the impact on Rihanna’s younger audience. I think many of Rihanna’s fans are young, very, very young. For that reason, I think her song is really not a good choice for her to make. What would a 9 year old think of this video, if they got their hands on it? And well we know kids, expecially those super dedicated fans, will try to get their hands on things they shouldn’t.

Well, that’s some kinky food for thought.
